The scope of this page will not cover every comic out or even all the ones I personally like (for now), instead I will go over some of the heroes I do follow closely and some upcoming news and/or events.

Amazing Spider-Man #544

One More Day Part 1 of 4

I liked the return to the old "The Amazing Spider-Man" Logo on the cover, I haven't seen that in years, almost like a "welcome back" from Marvel that was alittle overdue, do to Peter running around on the verge of killing someone (and almost did) for the first issue of my subscription...better late than never I guess. The story itself is almost exactly the same as in the past issue with almost no progress being made, still good to see Petey back to (almost) normal.

The hero I know most about is Spider-Man, definately one of my favorites, and according to the gross made on Spider-Man 3, so does the public. This section will cover Spider-Man related things I found fascinating, news etc.

No site has done a better job of archiving and reporting on Spider-Man related anything better than Spiderfan.org. Pay a visit to get more info on the Wall-Crawler than my entire site ever will.

I had for the first time ever, bought a subscription to Amazing Spider-Man instead of getting the newsstand edition as I usually do. I had just finished up the Back in Black story arc, my first issues Amazing Spider-Man #540-543. In those, Spidey puts on his old (non-symbiotic) Black Costume, as a reflection of what was happening within him. (I was also under the impression that he had no other costume at the time). As soon as issue #544 begins, he is back in the classic red and blue. One of the things I and other "mainline, but just out of the loop" fans of comics hate is the fact that if one needs to find out what is happening in a particular story, one needs to have multiple titles just to keep up. This was a main reason for the fallout after the "comic bubble" burst in the 90's and most fans just stopped reading. I would like to know how he got his old duds back or even, what happened to Eddie Brock when he stayed in the same hospital as Aunt May (it's in a Limited Series), or even how Spidey can be with the Avengers at the same time as all this was going on and still be in continuity. Still, the joy of having a subscrition to Amazing is enough for me to overlook things, for now anyway.

I have my own Rogue Gallery, (not really MINE of course) the top ten of the most vile and ridiculously difficult to defeat villians IMO I have ever (figuratively) come across. Now the villians on this list are not strictly all comic related, however as most are, it fits nicely into this page theme I think.

Below is a banner to ComicCollectorLive.com, a great site that features a program that will allow pricing, and organizing of ones entire Comic Collection. It can be updated if a particular comic is not listed and is growing everyday. The program can also link to online stores with fellow members who buy, sell, and trade comics. The program is free, however one must sign up to download, if interested in a free, continuously fan updated pricing guide, give it a try.
